This class will be taught by Janie Mininger at 1pm during Wool in the Woods
 
Here’s what we’ll cover:
– Basic principles of the spinning wheel
– Wool characteristics and how to draft wool
– Spin a ‘single’ yarn
– Wind your yarn off on a niddy-noddy
– Learn to make a 2-ply yarn (If time permits)
 
Several ounces of fiber will be provided to spin in class (BFL roving from Janie’s flock) and you will take home the skein of yarn that you spin during our class!
If you have your own functional wheel, please bring it. If you have a question about your wheel not functioning properly, let us know before class and we’ll see if a simple fix may solve it so you can use it in class! Otherwise you will be welcome to use one of the provided wheels!
 
This class has a minimum of at least 3 people.  If we do not hit the minimum your money will be refunded and the class will be canceled.
